| INTRODUCTION:
The Y5V dielectrics have relatively high K. The electrical properties of these dielectrics change considerably under changing temperature, voltage and time. They are suitable for all general purpose applications where high capacitance values are required and are ideal for room temperature applications with low DC bias. |

| The electrical properties of Y5V are not very stable
with respect to changing temperature, voltage and time conditions. The
temperature coefficient characteristics is illustrated Figure 3.1.
Figure 3.2 illustrates the variation pattern of Dissipation Factor with respect to temperature. The DC voltage coefficient and aging pattern are illustrate in Figures 3.3 and 3.4 respectively. |
