Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor X7R Series

  

INTRODUCTION:   THE X7R (BX) dielectric has moderate K and is temperature stable. It shows moderate change in electrical properties under changing temperature, voltage and frequency and is suitable for bypassing coupling and frequency discrimination circuit applications.

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS:  Operating Temperature Range: -55 to 125 deg.C  Temperature Coefficient, C max: 15%  Temp-Voltage Coefficient C max @WVDC:X7R: Not Applicable Dissipation Factor (tan d),  @25C: 2.5% max, 1.6% typical  Insulation Resistance (IR) @25C: lesser of 10 G ohm or 1000 Meg uF  @125C: lesser of 1.0 G ohm or 10 Meg uF  Ageing Rate: -1.5% Per decade hour Testing Parameters: 1 MHz +/-50Hz, 1.0Vrms +/-0.2Vrms 25C, 0 Volt. bias Dielectric Withstanding Voltage: 2.5 x WVDC

 

X7R has moderate value of temperature coefficient.  The temperature coefficient characteristics is illustrated in Figure 2.1.   Figure 2.2 illustrates the variation pattern of Dissipation Factor with respect to temperature.   The DC Voltage coefficient and AC Voltage coefficient are illustrated in Figures 2.3 and 2.4 respectively.
